I grew up on a working farm where life was rooted in the rhythms of the land. From an early age, I learnt the value of hard work, resilience, and the quiet power of nature to both challenge and nourish us.
Driven by a deep desire to help others, I pursued a career in medicine, eventually serving as a Doctor with the United Nations. My work took me to some of the most impoverished and crisis-affected areas of the world. There, I witnessed firsthand how poverty and food insecurity undermine health and human dignity. Time and again, I saw that whilst medicine could treat illness, it couldn’t address the deeper systemic issues—particularly those related to nutrition, land degradation, and unsustainable food systems.
That realisation led me to make a life-changing decision: to leave medicine and dedicate my life to sustainable agriculture.
Today, I work at the intersection of health, sustainability, and food security. My mission is to help communities build regenerative, resilient agricultural systems that not only feed people but also restore the planet. Whether through hands-on projects, educational initiatives, or international collaboration, I strive to create lasting solutions that empower people and protect the land for future generations.
This work brings me full circle—back to the values I learnt on the farm, with a renewed purpose and a global perspective.
